DavOr implements SPES 2011

The Provincial Government of Davao Oriental is now accepting applicants for Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES).  This is a program of the Provincial Government pursuant to RA 7323 (as amended by RA 9547) or otherwise known as an act to help "POOR" but "DESERVING" students pursue their education by encouraging their employment during summer and/or christmas vacations..,
Applicants who wish to apply must register to PESO with the following:

Qualifications
1.     At least 15 – 25 years old at the time of application.  
2.     Enrolled during the school year /term or enrolled during 
      the year /term immediately preceding the summer vacation.
3.     Or who has dropped out of school but intends to continue  
      his/her education.
4.     Family net income does not exceed the poverty income 
      threshold level.
5.     Garnered an average passing grade during the year/term 
      referred to above.


Requirements
1. Copy of Birth or Baptismal Certificate or Joint Certification of Two Persons attesting the date 

    of Birth of the student. (available at PESO Office)
2. Certification by the School Registrar as to his/her last enrollment or a copy of original 
     classcards or Form 138.
3. Certified true copy of the latest income tax return (ITR) of parents or Certification from the 
     Barangay Captain attesting the economic status of the family. (available at PESO Office.)
4.  Must pass the SPES Qualifying Exams.


IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENT-APPLICANTS TO SUBMIT THE ABOVE DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO THEIR AVAILMENT OF THE PROGRAM. FAILURE TO DO SO WOULD MEAN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION. 

ANY PERSON WHO WILL MAKE FRAUDULENT OR FICTITIOUS CLAIMS WILL BE PENALIZED.
